Hello?
Who was that? He, he couldnt remember. Its not like it mattered anyway.
He opened his eyes. Long brown locks covered her bare shoulders as she gripped the sheets tightly to her body. It was dark. He barely noticed that her phone was to her ear. Exhaling, he closed his eyes again. Probably her boyfriend, or her perhaps her mother, whatever. The stale taste of alcohol was in his mouth, and his head was pounding. Amber, Lesley, Jessica
he raked his mind. It wasnt like she needed a name though, and he didnt need to see her face.
She was just another woman that he used to fill the hole in his chest. Every night since his disappearance, hed had another bottle, and another female
but nothing seemed to fill the hole. Maybe his work had eaten away his soul
Cracking his eyes, he watched her as she fled from his bed, briskly replacing her clothes and leaving his hotel room without a single word. Maybe she was like him. Lost. Using others to fill the emptiness inside.
It didnt make him feel better, though. Instead, he simply rolled over and tried to wait for sundown.
